Takeout BBQ Chicken Dinner – October 22nd

The takeout Chicken Dinner is taking place on October 22nd from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. For $25.00, you get a delicious ½ chicken cooked over charcoal, baked potato with condiments, beans, coleslaw, bun and dessert. Tickets are now available at the church office, Murray’s Print Shop, or from Dave Armstrong. Deliveries are available; just ask when you buy your ticket.
Hazardous Waste Collection – October 21st in Annesley Parking Lot
On Tuesday, Oct 21st from 10-2, the Lions Club of Maple will be in the parking lot at Annesley with a truck to collect Hazardous Waste (Paint cans, light bulbs etc. ). Anyone is welcome to visit them to get rid of items that cannot go into the regular waste pickup.
Fall Yard Cleanup
FALL YARD CLEANUP – Friday, October 24th at 9:30 a.m. – Thank you to everyone who helped with the cleanup this past week. A lot of progress was made. We will be having another cleanup morning on Friday, October 24th at 9:30 a.m. Bring gloves, rakes, bags if you can.
Melodies for an Autumn Evening October 25th at 7:00 p.m.
Join us at Annesley on October 25th at 7:00 p.m. for the second in our series, A Century of Casavant. This time, we bring you organist Ian Sadler and partner him with ensemble of the Garden Quartet: Sebastian Ostertag, cello, Humberto Ramirez, violin, Adam Despinic, violin, and violist Woosol Cho. This will be a wonderful evening of music featuring our organ. Tickets are $35, and can be purchased at middlegrey.ca, or at the Annesley office.

Coin Bank Fundraiser
THE COIN BANKS ARE BACK! We are doing another coin bank fundraiser, and encourage your participation. Please pick up a coin bank in the Narthex or the office, or call 519-986-3019 if you would like to have one dropped off. Please save Loonies, Twonies, Quarters, or a cheque if you prefer. There is a signup book to record your name. It is hoped that they could be returned by the end of November. Thank you so much in advance for your participation.
Online Auction postponed until Spring
Our Online Auction will be held in the spring, likely in late April. We will accept donated items throughout the winter into the lower level, or you can hang onto them and we will have a time in advance of the auction that we will be accepting items. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Sunday Worship at Annesley this Autumn
Come and worship with us each Sunday morning at 10:30, whether in person or on YouTube. We have 2 ordained ministers and 4 Lay Worship Leaders leading our services this fall, and into 2026. Special dates to remember are: Communion on December 21, and our Christmas Eve service at 7 pm on December 24. Join with your Annesley family, as together we navigate life, supported and guided by God, Christ and the Spirit.

Coffee Break
There is a signup sheet in the Narthex for Coffee Hour – We are looking for people to prepare coffee and put out the treats – they are all provided by Annesley, so only your time is needed. You can scale it down to 1 coffee hour just before or just after the service (instead of both) to make things easier –it is your choice. Thank you to anyone who can do this.
Knit Wits next meet October 27th
The Knit Wits usually meet the 2nd and 4th Monday afternoons each month from 1:30 to 3:30 in the church parlour. (October is on the 1st Monday because of the Thanksgiving holiday. ) Most of our knitting is done from yarn donated to the church and we thank you for that. All are invited to join us for a lovely afternoon of knitting and socialization.

Home At Last (HAL)
HAL is a FREE settling in service to help people who have been in hospital to discharge home. The goal of the program is to facilitate an earlier discharge or unnecessary re-admission to hospital by providing transitional support services and links to community support services wen needed. Brenda & Peter Dimoff: CDs available due to popular demand
We have all been enjoying the music of Brenda and Peter Dimoff during the Sunday services. Many people have asked where they can get a copy of their CD, so Brenda and Peter have graciously responded by producing copies of the CD, as a fund raiser for Annesley! For a donation of $20 or more to Annesley, you receive a copy of this wonderful CD. They will be available each Sunday, or at the office during the week.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is an important part of Annesley’s outreach. Warm and cozy shawls are given to those of the congregation and community who are bereaved or seriously ill. The appropriate yarn must be purchased. If you would like to help, put your donation in an envelope marked Prayer Shawl and your name and send it to the church office. If you know anyone in the community who would benefit from receiving a prayer shawl, please call the office at 519-986-3019
