Pioneer Cemetery Sunday – February 8th

The Lay Worship Team is preparing a service with Cemetery Board member John Lewis. If you have relatives buried in any of the four Annesley Pioneer Cemeteries, please let us know:1) Which cemetery (Harkaway, Irwin, Ebenezer or Vandeleur).
2) The name of your ancestor, and  3) how they are related to you (if possible).

If you have a family picture from the 1850s-1920s that we could display in the sanctuary for that service, we would appreciate displaying it.

We want to remember and honour these people who came to the Queen’s Bush area of Upper Canada and established Methodist churches. Please email the or phone the church with information about your relatives buried in these four cemeteries. annesley@gmail.com   519-986-3019  Thank you

In the Library

The Great Emergence by Phyllis Tickle.

Rooted in the observation that massive transitions in the church happen about every 500 years, Phyllis Tickle shows readers that we live in such a time right now. She compares the Great Emergence to other “Greats” in the history of Christianity, including the Great Transformation (when God walked among us), Anyone who is interested in the future of the church in Canada, no matter what their personal affiliation, will find this book a fascinating exploration.
